[Sofia's been staying at the desert areas for some anthropology work for over a month now, with nothing but wide open desert, some hills over the horizon, and a really small town within walking distance. While she wasn't alone in the desert, nobody in her anthropology team is really someone she'd invite to watch the meteor shower happening tonight. While preparing for it, she figured giving Aura a call and see if the engineer wouldn't mind watching this rare phenomenon with her. The city is only an hour and a half away by car, so that's not so bad right? When it got dark enough, Sofia waited on top of her assigned trailer sitting on a beach chair, with an empty one right next to her's. The only thing to do right now is wait...]

Stargazing, huh? Who would've thought you'd be into that sort of thing?
[Though her voice sounds snide, she is playfully teasing...for once, anyway. It's far different from her usual sarcastic remarks.]

Not really. Just didn't want you to get bored to death without me.
[Sofia gets up from her chair and invites Aura and Clonco over at the top of the parked vehicle. She pushes a button on the RV's roof to activate a step ladder]
Glad you made it.

[She smirks, and when the ladder descends, she starts making her way up. Of course, Clonco, being a robot, can't climb the stepladder himself; Aura doesn't even seen to be concerned with him coming up, either. Once she's on top of the trailer, she makes her way to the chair and plops down, crossing one leg over the other.]
Glad to be here, I guess. Stargazing's not really my thing, so you're lucky you're one of the few I'll make exceptions for.

[Sofia chuckles at the first statement. Sitting on her chair right next to the Aura picked, Sofia really let her back sink into the chair as she gives a sigh of relief. It's been hours of digging and walking in the hot desert, so she's exhausted. She pushed her hair back behind her ear, closed her eyes, and looked up at the darkening sky. She felt flattered when Aura recognized her as one of her exceptions so she turned to look at Aura with one eye open and a smirk on her face]
Oh yeah? I wonder what I did to get that privilege.

[Ever since her personality changed, Aura has never been good with expressing her feelings openly. Even with her brother, whom she no doubt cared about, she couldn't just play the part of the affectionate, doting older sister; even he was victim to her witty remarks, but...it wasn't as if she meant anything by them. It was just the way that she was. It was easy to differentiate when she cared about someone and when she didn't through the severity of her comments.]
So, what are we looking at here?

A meteor shower. It's the first one I'm gonna be seeing here at home.
[Sofia's never the type to be sentimental over events such as these, but it reminds her of the better days in the past, so stargazing and seeing a meteor shower is special to her. Sofia inviting Aura to accompany her during this rare event means so much more than just being bored or missing the city. This marks Aura as someone Sofia is genuinely fond of, although she hasn't consciously realized it yet.
She uncovered a cooler hiding underneath a bath towel beside her chair, and in them were two mugs and a thermos filled with hot chocolate. She's still digging through the cooler while seated on her chair, with her back turned to Aura. The stars are beginning to shine visibly. Already there's more stars in the sky to be seen than down in Los Angeles]
Last one I saw was at the top of Mount Kilimanjaro after one hell of a climb... Here.
[Sofia hands Aura a coffee mug filled with warm chocolate. It would have been tea, but it's pretty late. Also Sofia drank all of it already, woops]
Have you thought about going overseas on vacation? You work more than I do, and that's saying a lot.

An overseas location, huh? No idea where I'd go...guess I could do to one of those European countries or whatever. It was where Metis and her little princess lived for a while.
[Not that she had any interest in travelling, really. After her comment, she brought the mug to her lips, taking a sip as she glanced up towards the sky. So far, there was nothing of interest was happening right now. Aura sighed, pulling the mug away and sitting it in her lap, hands cupped on either side.]
So, when's this thing supposed to be happening anyways?

In half a minute if my math is right. It always is.
[She brags, though it is justified that she's usually right about her calculations anyway. Usually. Sofia took a sip from her own mug, letting that warm beverage smoothly slide down her throat and warm herself up from the growing cold. She stretches her long legs on the chair, wiggling her toes while waiting for the first meteor to zoom down.
Besides wanting some company for tonight, there has been some things that's been weighing down on Sofia's mind. She figured Aura deserves to know about her... double-life as that "superhero" on the news. She's not sure what Aura would say to that if she's being honest. The other is much more mundane, but a lot harder to put to words. The very thought of it makes Sofia's cheeks blush. Just when she uttered a sound to say something, a bright meteor fall caught her attention. She was right that it started in half a minute]
I uh-- [She cleared her throat, changing the subject before she spouts what she really intended to say] Hah, hey half a minute. Looks like my record remains unbroken!
[Sofia both wants to give herself a high five for that (terrible) save, but also slap her own face. She hates how awkward and boring she is sometimes, especially when around people she values higher than most]
